Insurance and Billing

OMA does NOT submit claims on behalf of our patients.
Because we do not bill your insurance company directly OMA is open to patients with all types of plan that allow choice of provider.

Instead - OMA will produce for you the appropriate receipts called “SuperBills” which can then be submitted by you to your insurance company for a reimbursement* on treatments covered by their plans. Many insurance policies do cover acupuncture care, but this office makes no representation that yours does. Insurance policies may vary greatly in percentage of coverage. Because of the variance from one insurance policy to another, we require that you, the patient, be personally responsible for any unpaid balances in this office. The patient is responsible for determining if their carrier covers services, if there is a cap on the number of treatments, and for what conditions their provider will reimburse.
An administrative process fee will be charged for coding superbills.

*Our offices do not guarantee any reimbursable value. OMA will code super bills according to standard practice. Should your claim be rejected due to special coding or modifiers required by your insurance plan, additional process fees will be assessed and charged.
